Greek Golden
Visa offers opportunity to non EU nationals, gain residence permit in Greece by
investing in real property, such as houses, flats, hotels and touristic
premises of all kinds, with a minimum value of €250.000.
The scheme initiated
in 2014 (by law 4251/2014) and so far, 10,000 people have benefited from it. Some
use it as a chance to invest in Greek land with an extra bonus. Others see it as
a way out of a hostile past and a way in to a new home and a promising future ...
According to the latest (January 2019) amendments, the value of investment needs to be paid in full, upon the signature of the relevant contract. Payment shall be made either by non-transferable to third parties, bank checks or by money transfers to the bank account of the seller or the lessor. Sale/purchase and leasing agreements need to take place before a notary public who shall take care of the legal formalities of the contracts to be concluded, shall receive the parties’ declarations and proof of payment of the investment and finally, shall take note of all payment details in the respective contracts.
